The
Humanitarian Network
Our Purpose..
To Connect Resources with Projects.
We have gathered data over the last 16
years from tens of thousands of projects which have been
completed in more than
200 countries
and geographic regions, involving hundreds of resource providers, shippers, and
project funders. We want to make it
EASIER
for
that knowledge base and new resources to make their projects more
successful.

What's Next
..
|
|
As the pilot programs with
NGBIA and the Rebuilding of Haiti become implemented, future ventures
will be to directly confront the need for on-going financial needs (or
sustainability), by establishing a mechanism for all project partners to
participate. |
|
These will include fund-raising activities with The
Humanitarian Network Fun Raising entities; coordinating matching grant
programs from independent and public foundations; using network partner,
Hands Across the Sea (a 501-c-3 non-profit organization) to develop a
"direct pass-though foundation" for collecting and distributing
general-fund donations and project-specific donated funds to the
rightful recipient program. |
|
Such requests have been received from
Project HOPE International, Gray Ribbon Foundation,
Pennsylvania-Lithuania Comprehensive Program, West Virginia-Peru
Projects Program, Adm. Jeremiah Denton Foundation, and at least twenty
other organizations. |

ABOUT US
|
|

The Humanitarian Network
Strategic Partnership List
continues to grow as Clubs and others reach out for help with their
projects. Funding, Resources, Shipping, and exposure are most
important for success in these troubling economic times.
The
growing relationship with Civilian-Military projects through the NGBIA-SPP, and the work our coalition team is doing with the
Military Commands. These efforts support the partnership
arrangements we are developing with Project Hope, The Denton
Foundation and others for
implementing joint partnership ventures.
The Network and its
members are responding to member requests for
development and support. Network member Project Support Partners
will assist with the development and implementation of the
following programs.

Current Project Agenda |
|
NGBIA Partnerships
Helping to develop a
comprehensive pilot program for the National Guard Bureau of
International Affairs-State Partnership Program, to incorporate the use
of and support of service clubs, faith-based
groups, and other non-government entities (NGO's) to support program
development promulgated by the US Embassy, Lithuanian business leaders,
and the Pennsylvania National Guard, in Lithuania. |
|
This pilot program is
to set the stage for similar comprehensive programs in all 62 of the
NGBIA-SPP partnership countries, helping to fulfill the overall
goals of this important international program which began in 1993
with the fall of the Soviet Union. |
|
Rebuilding Haiti
Additional agenda initiatives include the recovery
and rebuilding of Haiti with numerous project partners including Project
HOPE International, Hosean Ministries, and MSNI Medical Supplies Warehouse, Tulsa, OK, with State
Partnership support from the Louisiana National Guard. |
|
This comprehensive plan includes development of
physical therapy clinics and prosthesis manufacturing, both at the base
encampment
initially, and at regional clinics throughout the island. |
|
Incorporated in the
rebuilding phase will include other project partners for
transitional and permanent housing solutions, rebuilding of schools,
safe-water, agricultural considerations, and many other programs. |
|
Project Hope
The third main initiative will be project
development already well underway with Project Hope International, and
various countries around the world, of which many will involve the US
Military COCOMS and NGBIA. 15 Plus Countries will receive humanitarian
aid visits with the assistance of the Navy and Air Force |
|
Each individual project will include
in-country non-government groups who will support the goals of the
project and oversea the transition to local ownership. |
