What we will do |
|
We will continue to provide
Clinics, Churches, Schools, and Homes.
After
building clinics in Haiti, working with the people of Haiti, and talking
with many we have jointly developed a New Haiti Is Possible
Model Community Program (NHISP)*.
Our New Haiti Is Possible Model Community Program
provides Haitian designed homes, clinics, schools, and most importantly,
a program to provide economic sustainability for individuals and the
community. With building, fishing, farming, growing gardens and other
income activities, the community should grow and provide the starting
point for a New Haiti and a New Life for community members
|
|
How we want to do it |
|
We feel that impacting the
WHOLE community needs to be considered for this to be the START of a NEW
HAITI Model. Here
are our Program Elements
|
|
Economic
Development |
|
We seek
to provide a long term sustainable economic model for
Communities.
Here is how:
|
| Building |
|
We ask the people of Haiti
what kind of shelters that they would like. All indicated long lasting,
hurricane and earthquake resistant, Haitian lifestyle supportive homes
with bathroom and cooking areas.
So that is what we designed.
We then
agreed
to enable many community members to participate in the building of their
homes. Our
Build
It Training Program proved
effective in building rehabilitation clinics in Haiti. We will train
community members how to build their new homes.
Those
that show an interest and skill will be placed in a CREW status. They
will become
fulltime
Construction Team Members. They will work
on Clinics, Schools, and Larger Projects.
|
|
|
| |
|
Development of Investment in the Area |
|
To impact
long term economic growth in Haiti , we will invest in the
development of a
Seaside
Community (SEASIDE). It will provide
retirement homes and second homes for the international community.
Other
countries in the region have started similar programs.
Many US “Boomers”
are seeking affordable retirement
locations. SEASIDE will provide a beautiful community for many.
|
|

SEASIDE will create many
economy building opportunities for the people of Petit-Goâve.
Construction jobs, service jobs, medical
services, travel, and more. Plus the residents become a source of
revenue to the Community. SEASIDE also offers many of the volunteers and
people that have worked in Haiti a way to continue to help as they enjoy
one of the most beautiful locations in Haiti.

|
|
|
WHAT WE DO:
Our purpose is to provide long lasting affordable
structures for those that need them the most.
We also assist organizations with program funding,
shipping, and in finding the right building solution for humanitarian
projects. We collaborate with NGOs, Service Organizations, and all that
want to make a difference.
We find and develop
building systems for world disasters and the
recovery phase of areas impacted.
We provide for
ongoing research and development to
find even better ways to provide clinics, schools,
and homes.
|
|
|
|
What we have done:
For many years we and our partners have
supported providing shelter, medical services, and
educational programs to people in need.
Recently we have developed and deployed new modular
building technologies that provide affordable
solutions for areas impacted by natural disasters.
 Or
recent focus has been the deployment of
rehabilitation clinics. One of our first clinics
provides medical and rehabilitation services to a
rural population. With one of our partner NGOs, we
are providing a three building solution in Port au Prince.

Humanitarian
Builders Haiti
 |
|
A Social Enterprise that builds clinics,
schools, homes, the community, and hope. |
|
Why Humanitarian Builders Haiti ?
Because after almost a year, people still are living
in tents.
(Communities)
Because there are not enough Medical Treatment
Facilities (Clinics)
Because there are not enough schools.
(Schools)
Because people need to engage in meaningful activity
.. to work !
Because it is the right thing to do. |
|
Community Support Development |
|
As we engage in economic
development, we must also consider community support development.
Without proper shelter, food,
safe water, medical services, education,
and
hope economic development will lag.
So, let's take a
look at what is planned:
|
|
SHELTER: Building the right homes is critical. The home is the base
building block of the program. Our Programs address this requirement. |
|
FOOD:
Hungry people are concerned about one
thing. Eating. So we look at a program that expands what they are
already doing to grow food.
We would also support programs that provide
seed, animals.. etc. |
|
SAFE WATER: Without it, the community is always
subject to severe heath issues. We will provide a Program Filtration
System that will provide safe water for 10,000 people. As we build, we
will add
water and sanitation solutions to these
communities. |
|
MEDICAL SERVICES: Partners Activity. We will support these efforts. One
of the programs that we would consider supporting is basic EMS Training. |
|
EDUCATION: It makes all better. Having schools, training, development
activities impacts economic development, community health, and the lives
of community members. |
|
HOPE: The community needs to participate in this worthwhile endeavor. It
makes a New Haiti Possible. |
|
We plan to continue to provide Clinics, Schools, and
Homes. Our NEW HAITI IS POSSIBLE Model Community provides three
different types of homes, clinics, schools, and most importantly, a
program to provide sustainability for individuals and the community.
With homes, gardens, farming,
and other income activities, the community should grow and provide the
starting point for a New Haiti and a NEW Life for community members.
